The Samuels Group Selected for AGC Excellence in Partnering Award 11/01/17
Partnering with OSHA, The Samuels Group proudly accepted a 2017 Excellence in Partnering Award from the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin on October 5th at Glacier Canyon Lodge Conference Center in Wisconsin Dells. The award was issued to the project team that successfully utilized a partnering process and stood out on their ability to achieve a common goal, improve communication and conflict-resolution strategies and positively impact the delivery of the project. The winning project was for Sacred Heart Hospital Curtain Wall Replacement in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
This phased project replaced the 9-story curtain wall system and included the demolition and replacement of exterior veneer curtain wall structures, glass and metal panels, and glazing. It also replaced the associated HVAC system. This project required extensive schedule coordination and a concise sequence to the flow of work. Each bay had a 21-work day turnaround time and a punchlist to complete before it could be turned over for occupancy. Safety is a priority on all of The Samuels Group projects but this project had a high level of risk and presented a great opportunity to collaborate with OSHA to be certain the site was as safe as it could be. The partnership was formed to protect and educate workers on construction hazards during the project. Visit www.samuelsgroup.net healthcare portfolio for more details.
