The Samuels Group was excited to serve as the Design Builder for Cloverbelt Credit Union’s new headquarters in downtown Wausau. The new facility is 21,000 square feet and includes teller operations, membership services and an expanded loan department on the first floor. The lower level of this multi-level building is designed to accommodate operations, training rooms and storage. The second floor of this new facility is designated for their administrative offices.

Tad Gardner, Superintendent: “My favorite part of this project was working closely with Greg Melander. Greg did a great job making sure everything flowed from start to finish.”
Greg Melander, Project Manager: “I enjoyed watching the excitement of the Cloverbelt Credit Union team as we took their vision of what they wanted their new corporate office to be into reality. Every contractor that worked on this project performed at a high level. I can’t say enough about how our onsite field Superintendent, Tad Gardner, kept the project on track and ensured a quality product was being delivered. As a resident of Wausau, I enjoy being able to drive past this building and know I was part of the team that developed this new landmark near the Riverfront. I also developed a deep appreciation for my project administrator, Amber Bliese, as she was very responsive to ensuring all paperwork was submitted and closed out in a timely manner. This project is one of my favorite projects I have had the opportunity to work on in my career.”
Amber Bliese, Project Administrator: “Cloverbelt Credit Union had many challenges from a small site due to the existing credit union building needing to remain open, as well as, additional construction going on down the road. However, I felt like Tad did a great job of coordinating with the owner and subcontractors to keep the job site clean and construction moving forward. His continued efforts allowed our relationship with the owner and subcontractors to grow and anything I needed from anyone was received quickly.
The location of this project made it easy to see the progress occurring. I don’t get to travel to job sites all the time so it was nice that this project was local and I had the opportunity to do that.
Lastly, this was one of the first big projects I got to work on with Greg Melander and he is always willing to take the time and explain our methods to everyone involved.”
