Position Summary:

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator is a creative professional that is responsible for sales and marketing administration, our client experience, and event planning to include company events, client events, tradeshows, and career fairs.

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

The following duties are normal for this position and are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required or assigned.

  • Event and tradeshow coordination including sponsorships, registration, staff scheduling, travel arrangements, booth needs, door prizes, signage, packing/unpacking, follow-ups/thank-you, etc.
  • Create and maintain marketing materials and advertising for tradeshows and events
  • Promote events via social media and email campaigns
  • Coordinate promotional items for events and company store
  • Develop and implement metrics to measure event success based on attendance, expense, and lead generation
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to communicate outcomes
  • Manage sales/marketing event calendar
  • Assist and adhere to event budgets
  • Assist with leads, sales quotes/proposals/PO’s, presentations, and CRM updates as needed
  • Arrange for client visits to provide an exceptional client experience every time
  • Participate in networking events and public relations
  • Provide a wide variety of administrative tasks including data entry, copying, binding, filing, etc.

Other duties as may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.

Work Relationships and Scope:

Position reports directly to the Marketing Director but has responsibility to VP Marketing and Sales and accountability to Sales Team. Involves no supervisory functions but requires the ability to work and coordinate with others.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Basic understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards is helpful
  • Demonstrated experience with social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Demonstrated experience with Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, HubSpot, and Deltek Vision (CRM) a plus
  • Graphic design and photography experience is a plus

Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required
  • One to three years of related experience in marketing, event planning, communications, business, promotional sales, customer service, or related field preferred

Physical Requirements:

In a typical 8-hour workday, employee will usually; sit at least five hours, stand at least two hours and walk at least one hour. Employee's job requires occasionally to; bend/stoop, squat/crawl, climb 8 ft., reach above shoulder, crouch/kneel, balance, push/pull, lift/carry up to 10 pounds. Employee job requires frequently using hands for repetitive action such as simple grasping and fine manipulating. Work hours are generally during normal business hours. However, unscheduled evening and weekend work may be necessary to meet the needs of the organization.  Out-of-town and overnight business travel may be required.
