Relay For Life is an overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by Cancer in the Wausau Area.

Survivors were celebrated at the event during the Survivors Lap. The Luminaria Ceremony gave people an opportunity to remember those lost to cancer and to honor survivors.

Money was also raised during and prior to the event to help the American Cancer Society continue with its mission to save lives, The Samuels Group team raised more than $3,500 to help the American Cancer Society work towards a cancer-free future.

The event took place at John Muir Middle School in Wausau. Teams started walking at 6 p.m. Friday, June 8. Team members continued to walk around the track until 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9.

This was a good opportunity for people to share in an experience while coming together as a community to raise money for an important mission.

The Samuels Group looks forward to help in the fight against cancer again next year.
