Wausau, WI – October 7, 2008 –Wausau-based general contracting firm, The Samuels Group, will be honored with two BUILD Wisconsin Awards for 2008 from the Wisconsin Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).

The two projects receiving an award include 311 Financial Way, Wausau’s first privately owned LEED Registered facility and home to The Samuels Group’s headquarters and the 5th and 6th floor remodel of Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.  311 Financial Way took the award in the category of “General Contractor – New Construction” and The Sacred Heart Project won in the category of “General Contractor – Renovation.”

Projects are evaluated by a panel of construction industry professionals, including architects, engineers, city officials and other building experts select the top projects to receive the awards.  The panel judges each project and gives a project points based on criteria such as innovation, teamwork, overcoming challenges and client satisfaction.
