The Samuels Group has recycled 34.21 tons of brick and mortar from the Wausau School District.  A chimney demolition project at Grant Elementary was the source of the brick and mortar which was removed from The Samuels Group site by IROW.  The brick and mortar will be used as fill and base in road construction.

Dean Henrickson,  General Superintendent of The Samuels Group related that the recycling initiative was having a positive impact on the environment, “A few years ago this would have wound up in Marathon County’s landfill”.

The Samuels Group has implemented a recycling program on all of their jobs, this new policy is expected to keep tons of construction materials out of landfills and allow for the reuse of this material.
