We’ve had a lot of people take the sustainable tour of 311 Financial Way.  Now, we’d like your help!  If you’ve already taken the tour, here’s your chance to tell us what you thought.  Use the comment section below and tell us what your favorite part of the tour was.

Was it the use of daylighting, one of the many recycled materials used throughout the structure or something else that you found interesting and exciting?  Your responses will help us improve the tour for future audiences.

If you haven’t had a chance to see all of the sustainable options built into the facility, you can set up an appointment to take a guided tour of 311 Financial Way for yourself or your organization by calling Jessica at 841-1905.

Greenheck Tour April 7 '08
Thank you again for a great tour and a peak into the work that you do at The Samuels Group. The building is truly a beautiful and functional place. We were very impressed with the forethought that went into the design, building placement, and use beyond your own company`s needs. I hope that you are able to achieve and be recognized for gaining LEED certification by your efforts.

Quite Impressive
An impressive building to be admired and set forth to inspire. What a refreshing landmark for the Wausau community.

Greenheck Tour 4/7/08
From the building perspective; it was the variation in the use of recycled materials, in contrast to most office space-was the natural daylighting and general open feeling in all the spaces.

From a personal perspective; I was impressed with the enthusiasm of the employees for the "green" movement. Go "Jessica" !

Thanks, I will recommend the tour (and your company) to others.

311 Tour
I found the tour of your facility last week very interesting and informative. I think what impressed me the most was a feeling of "synergy", how all the individual elements seemed to blend together to create an inviting work environment (from the great views and abundance of natural light to the unique flooring, fixtures, and furniture). The discussion of the advantages of the Tate access floor and the computer modeling demo were of particular interest.

What really came through was your pride in your new building and the enthusiasm you have for promoting sustainable construction. Your willingness and ability to answer our many questions was greatly appreciated.

I`ll be contacting you in the next few weeks to schedule a second tour for others at Greenheck who would benefit from this great learning opportunity.

Thanks!

AM I IN WAUSAU, WI?
Hello Andy,
I just want to thank you for the tour of 311 Financial Way. What a truly spectacular structure. From the moment you enter the parking lot you know that you are in a very special place. I was immediately taken back with the amount of natural lighting that fills the space, even though it was one those typical dreary winter days in Wisconsin. Furthermore, what’s not to like about the awesome panoramic view of Rib Mountain! Wow, I can see why you sometimes find it difficult to leave at the end of the day. It’s amazing to learn of all the eco-friendly elements that have gone into your building. From the flooring and surfaces to the hi-tech heating and cooling process. The whole aura of the space and the surroundings had me feeling like I certainly must be somewhere from far away from Wausau, Wisconsin. All this, and the building continues to give back to the environment everyday. Anyone who gets the opportunity to visit really needs to do so, I think you really have to experience it first hand to appreciate its full grandeur.

Congrats to Sid, Susie and the entire Samuels team. 311 is wonderful gift to the entire Central Wisconsin area. It’s certain you’ll be very happy in that space for a very long time. I look forward to another visit one day soon.

So many things we liked about your building! We liked the heating, cooling, and wires being in the floor so that the worker may regulate his own environment. We liked the moveable walls and furniture. We liked the flooring of bamboo and old tires-- attractive and so useable. We like the countertops of recyclable materials. We liked the fact that you save rain water for gardening. We depression people were happy to see young people who are interested in conserving and reusing things of nature. This is the way to go in the future!

sept 2008 bus after 5 tour
Wonderfully impressive structure! Both my wife, Gina, and I loved it! The open access was my favorite part of the design, n open concept such as the 311 bldg. definitely lends to its firms and employees being able to find solutions not restrained by parameters, again truly inspiring design!

I also loved the view from not only the 3rd floor but from the roof top patio area. I am sure in the Winter time the lights of the ski runs are indeed breathtaking!

The tour was very informational as well as enthusiastic, covering and explaining, in spite of the crowded conditions, the work that was taken to ensure the `greeness` of the building. I loved the usage of the rain water for its own irrigation purposes. Neat stuff!

Now, my curiosity has been satisfied as to,`I wonder what that bldg. looks like on the inside`. Thanks again!
