When you clean your fish tank, remove only one-third of the water and use it as a nutrient rich solution for house and outdoor plants. You'll conserve water and eliminate the need for chemical fertilizers. If every fish owner adopted this habit, the freshwater saved annually would be enough to fill two twenty-four-ounce bottles for each of the 1.2 billion people in the world without access to safe drinking water.
