The field of photovoltaics has advanced considerably in the past decade. Advancements in technology have made solar cells thinner, cheaper and more able to produce electricity from solar energy.

With the rapid increase in cost of fossil fuels and the growing awareness of the climatological impact of the use of non-renewable resources. These advancements in solar cell technology are a positive step toward clean-energy sources becoming a large source of power in the coming years.
