If you buy tennis balls (for yourself or your dog), consider purchasing the pressure less variety.  Pressure less tennis balls are not only longer lasting than their counterparts, but are sold in a recycled paper box or reusable mesh bag instead of a pressurized plastic or metal tube with an aluminum seal.  If you generally buy a dozen balls per month, you can save more than three pounds of plastic per year.  If an additional 25% of the 360 million tennis balls manufactured each year were pressure less the plastic tubes saved could form a line from Queens, NY to Wimbledon.
